Benefits of Ebiking
Physical Health
Biking is great exercise, whether you use power assist or not. Never mind the naysayers, ebiking is NOT “cheating”. It’s an adaptive technology suited to your individual needs. Want to get a good work out—great. Use the lowest power setting or go without. You get to choose how much resistance you push against, and choice is good. Besides, anytime we get outside for some fresh air and exercise, it’s a win-win.
There are 15 levels of electric assist combined with pedal power to choose from. Find the combination that’s right for you and the terrain you’re riding on.
The option to utilize power assist opens up the number of routes you can ride. No longer do you have to be limited where you ride in order to avoid the big hills. The choices are endless when you can tap into some e-assist when needed.
Maintaining one’s strength and sense of balance are key prerequisites for staying active and healthy as we age. Use it or lose it. Biking hones our ability to stay in balance while building our leg and core muscles.
Mental Health
Getting out of the house and seeing the sights has untold benefits for our mental health. Whether riding with family or friends or cruising alone for some good think time, ebiking allows us to put our cares and stresses aside for a while and take in the sights with all five senses.
As we age, some of us are no longer able to do activities we’ve enjoyed all our lives. Ebiking allows us to keep going and engage in a hobby we can enjoy well into our golden years.
Multiple studies identify connection and community as the most important factors to finding joy and contentment in life. Riding with others and sharing experiences provides opportunities to build and strengthen those connections and find a common bond.
Trying new things, navigating different routes, and exploring the unknown builds neural pathways and is good for our brain health. Ebiking expands our riding options and takes us to places we’ve never been before.
Inclusive and Accessible
Not everyone is blessed with a young, fully functioning body that enables them to pedal hard or propel them and their bikes up big hills. People who would otherwise give up biking can now get back in the saddle on an ebike.
Many people have physical limitations or issues that prevent them from or cause pain when riding a bike. Maybe you struggle with neck, back, wrist, shoulder, or hip pain. Perhaps your range of motion has diminished. Enter the wonderfully modifiable ebike. Imagine this: a big comfy seat, raised handlebars pulled back so you don’t have to put pressure on your wrists or shoulders, the ability to sit upright to take the strain out of your neck as you roll down the road. Now add front fork suspension and seat post suspension to dampen the bumps and reduce the jarring of rough roads and uneven terrain. Our bikes are all modified with supreme comfort and aging bodies in mind.
Ebiking levels the playing field. With 15 levels of pedal assist, people with differing strength and endurance levels can now ride comfortably together. No one struggles to keep up or feels left behind. Everyone can ride side by side and chat along the way.
